Location: The Learning Experience Tega Cay
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Range: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
The Learning Experience Tega Cay is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role works with children ages 6 weeks to 24 months, providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow, explore, and reach developmental milestones. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and passionate about early childhood care and education.
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants and toddlers in a safe classroom environment.
- Support children’s early developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities and interactions.
- Follow individualized feeding, sleeping, and care schedules for infants and toddlers.
- Encourage sensory exploration, language development, and early social skills through play and guided activities.
- Maintain accurate daily reports including feedings, diaper changes, naps, and classroom activities.
- Ensure proper sanitation, including bottle preparation, diapering procedures, and classroom cleaning.
- Maintain constant supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
- Communicate professionally with families regarding their child’s daily care and development.
- Follow all South Carolina DSS childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and management to maintain classroom ratios and support coverage as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or in a childcare setting preferred.
- Ability to meet South Carolina DSS childcare licensing requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
